Free website check

How is your website doing?

Type in its address. In a few seconds you get a plain English report on speed, accessibility, cookies, security and your domain, with what to fix first.

We look at your home page once, the way a browser does on a first visit. There is nothing to sign up to, and we do not keep a list of the sites people check.

What the check looks at

  • Speed. How long your server takes to answer, how heavy the page is, how many scripts it loads and how many other websites it waits on.
  • Accessibility. The common problems that stop people using screen readers: pictures with no description, links and buttons with no words, form boxes with no label, and no language set.
  • Cookies and tracking. Cookies set before anyone agrees, and analytics or advertising scripts that need consent under UK law.
  • Security. Whether the site is always on a secure connection, and the small settings that make it harder to attack.
  • Your domain. When it runs out, which company it is managed through, and whether it is locked against being moved.

Want these fixed?

Send us your report and we will tell you what we would fix first, roughly what it would take, and whether it is worth doing at all.
